Compiled in 2011, this complete pub quiz pack is themed around the subject of Christmas and so is especially suitable for quizzes run during the festive season. It features 7 high quality rounds as follows...
Round 1: Secret Santa
This picture round features 10 famous people wearing Santa disguises. The aim for teams in your quiz is to name them.
Round 2: Christmas Music
10 Christmas themed questions on the subject of music, including "What is the first question asked in the lyrics of the song Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade?"
Round 3: Christmas Connections
7 general knowledge questions, plus a final question, worth 3 points, asking for a Christmas related connection between the first 7 answers.
Round 4: Christmas Traditions
10 questions on the subject of Christmas traditions, including "Each year, a Christmas tree is displayed in Trafalgar Square that is given by the people of Norway to thank Britain for its support during which war?"
Round 5: Christmas Letter Link
10 Christmas themed questions where the answer to the last question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of all the words in the first 9 answers.
Round 6: Let It Snow
10 general knowledge questions on the theme of "snow", such as "What type of animal is Snowball in the George Orwell novel Animal Farm?"
Round 7: Christmas Trivia
10 questions on the general theme of Christmas, including "Which of Santa's reindeer comes first alphabetically?"
The quiz pack is made up of 4 separate files as follows...
First of all there is a specially designed 2 page Christmas answer sheet to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.
Secondly, there is the handout round, which again is to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.
Next there is a 4 page sheet featuring all the questions in rounds 2 to 7 for you to read out during the quiz, along with all the answers to these plus the answers to the handout round to be used at the end of the quiz to mark everyone's answers. This also features 2 Christmas themed tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score.
Finally, there is a 4 page sheet featuring detailed round by round instructions and notes, plus general advice and recommendations on running a successful and entertaining quiz.
